Statue Of Liberty Posters

The Statue of Liberty (originally called Liberty Enlightening the World) is a colossal sculpture of a robed female figure in the neoclassical style on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. The statue is a representation of Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, who strides forward, trampling a broken chain, and bearing a torch and a tabula ansata, a tablet evoking the law, upon which is inscribed the date of American independence. Designed by Frédéric Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28, 1886, the statue was a gift of the people of France. It has become an iconic symbol of freedom and of the United States.(source wiki)
