Ambrose Everett Burnside, Hello SIDEBURNS! Burnside was a soldier, inventor, politician and industrialist whom is known in American History as having the greatest facial hair ever. During the Civil War the West Point graduate was appointed to command units which he was ill-suited to lead.
He wasn't a good military commander... So what? They named sideburns after the guy, how could you not love him?
